Ruffner Mountain, a large nature preserve with hiking trails, stretches along the entire southeast side of South Eastlake. This beautiful area is one of the many draws to this popular neighborhood. The west side of the neighborhood provides East Lake Park – a large park wrapped around the centerpiece lake – and the historic Roebuck Golf Course. Commuters enjoy easy access to I-59, a quick way to reach Downtown Birmingham in less than 15 minutes, and the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport less than five minutes away.

South Eastlake’s hilly, wooded appearance belies its proximity to all of Birmingham’s conveniences and entertainment. And while this neighborhood is primarily residential, you won’t have to travel far for shopping and dining.
